About
Maeve
As a recent graduate of Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a BFA in Photography, I bring a fresh, artistic perspective to every session. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in composition, lighting, and storytelling, which I use to create stunning, meaningful images for families.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing countless families through my nannying and babysitting connections. These experiences have given me a natural ability to connect with children and families, making each session relaxed, fun, and genuinely reflective of your bond.
Creating family photoshoots isn’t just work for me—it’s a passion that fills my bucket both as an artist and as a person. I strive to capture not just smiles but the little moments of connection and joy that make your family unique.

I was born in the suburbs of Chicago. My family and I left the States when I was twelve years old. My parents sold our home in the suburbs to backpack around the world as a family. This was extremely valuable exposure at such a young age especially as a developing artist. I had been to 28 countries by the age of 17. Traveling grounded and shaped me. It allowed me to be free. I had grown up with a specific learning disorder which impacted my everyday abilities and overall self-esteem. Discovering photography gave me a voice. I was allowed to capture my unique perspectives and be my authentic self. My art is about connections. I am able to teleport the viewer into my visions, experiences, and memories. Sharing it with others feeds my motivation. My photographs and work are therapeutic as my emotions are released. As a result, my work often displays as dark and emotional in contrast to my open and supportive heart.
I sincerely thank you for reading this and being here
